Agata Nowak is a multidisciplinary artist and ceramicists, who in her creative practice responds to social and political issues.
Born in Poland, Agata's roots trace back to a community of courageous, independent women who used craft to express resilience.
Agata studied Ceramic Design at Central Saint Martin's College of Art and Design, London, and Art and Material Histories at the City & Guilds of London Art School. She works and lives in London. Agata works on her own, collaborates with fellow artists and engages in community projects.
Agata's artworks reflect a keen awareness of the world's social and political landscapes. Permeating through her work are themes of injustice, discrimination, that are balanced with messages of integration, and strength of character, offering viewers thought-provoking experience.
Agata’s research-based practice is motivated by social and political inequities, is driven by an interest in addressing injustices.
