London Borough of Culture Trophies Commission 2024

Created in 2024, the three porcelain trophies were commissioned by the Greater London Authority to create original artworks for the London Borough of Culture 2025 and 2027.

Through participatory workshops, the trophies were co-created with Crisis Charity. Agata invited Crisis, a charity dedicated to ending homelessness, to collaborate on this project. Individuals, employees, and volunteers from Crisis Charity in Croydon made ceramic flowers, which adorned the trophies that were thrown by Agata on the potter’s wheel. The finished pieces were presented by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, to the two winning boroughs: Wandsworth and Haringey.

Launched in 2017, the Mayor’s London Borough of Culture award brings Londoners together, placing culture at the heart of local communities, inspiring new talent, and giving grassroots creativity a chance to shine.
Crisis Skylight Croydon is part of the national homelessness charity Crisis UK. Crisis focuses on supporting those facing homelessness, providing services such as education, employment, housing, and well-being across different regions of the UK.
