Ceramic Garden (2019)

Artist Led Community Project, celebrating the spirit of Croydon's communities. The project was supported by Mayor of London Seeds Fund.

In collaboration with partner organisations Agata curated a garden of ceramic roses, daisies, daffodils, snails, slugs, fungi and even a snowman.
She worked with school children and adults. The garden showcased art works of 223 participants that took part in 17 workshops.

Each community artworks were represented by their partner’s chosen colour:

Red was used for members of Crisis Skylight Croydon and Refugee Centre (West Croydon), Blue for Alzheimer's Society (Croydon). Orange represented Carers Information Service (Croydon) and Yellow was secured for pupils of Ridgeway Primary School and Nursery (South Croydon) whilst Green represented children from Bramley Bank Short Stay School (Sanderstead).

The work was exhibited in Croydon College (2020), Crisis Skylite Foyer (2019), and shown during Sanderstead Horticultural Society Summer Show (2019), Bamstock Open Air Music Festival in Wandle Park Croydon (2019)

‘It was absolutely heart warming to see the workshop participants coming to the shows, bringing their friends and loved ones, proudly showing their work. I only wish I could’ve capture the joy of working together and making these flowers. It was truly unforgettable experience.’
