Collection of Plates with Antlers (2007)

Memories of Agata’s childhood - visits to a family friend’s house that was full of animal sculls, antlers and horns.
The ceramic glazes are textured and tactile, with skin/leather like qualities. Mostly made to hang on the wall and be a ‘friendlier’ version of animal remnants.

My parents friend was a forest keeper and a hunter. The house was full of smells of leather and dogs. Living in England and being far from home evoke memories of places where I spent the best summers of my childhood.
Nowak, also questioned ideas of hunting to beautify our homes.
